Salary: £66.60/hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages, University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint up to two part-time, hourly-paid Portuguese Language Teachers from 17 October 2013 to June 30 2014.

  • The successful candidate(s) will be suitably qualified native speaker(s) of Portuguese (either Brazilian or European) with a good honours degree or equivalent and an excellent command of English.
  • A specific language-teaching qualification and experience of language teaching may be an advantage.

Do you run or teach in a supplementary or community school? Would you like to bring your students to a museum or gallery but don’t know where to start?
 BOOK NOW! 
The British Museum is a free cultural venue in Camden, open to everyone. We are currently offering 15 FREE places on a training session designed specifically for supplementary school teachers and volunteers:
 Date: Saturday 9th November 2013
TIME: 9.45am – 4pm (lunch provided)

·         Get to know the British Museum and its collections better.

·         Develop your own visits to the British Museum for your students based on subjects that are relevant to them.
·         Learn how to lead activities about objects, opinions and cross-cultural links.
·         Have all your practical questions answered to make sure your visits run smoothly.
·         Meet colleagues from other supplementary schools to share ideas.*
*Please ask us about how we can support your language needs or access requirements as we need any requests in advance.

Primeiro Simpósio sobre o Ensino de Português como Língua de Herança, o I- SEPOLH

SEPOLH I-SEPOLH, a primeira iniciativa em prol de um trabalho conjunto entre instituições brasileiras que atuam em diferentes países europeus no âmbito de língua e cultura. Este evento contribuirá significativamente para o desenvolvimento do ensino do Português como Língua de Herança e para o conhecimento dos profissionais neste setor.

Objetivos do simpósio 

    • propiciar maior intercâmbio de ideias e práticas entre países europeus que possuem instituições trabalhando na difusão da Língua Portuguesa e da cultura brasileira;
  • incentivar a colaboração entre as instituições espalhadas pela Europa;
  • disseminar o trabalho dessas instituições;
  • dar maior visibilidade ao Ensino do Português como Língua de Herança na Europa.
